This training will give you 30 hrs of continuing education credits for yoga teachers. In order to receive your certificate, all 30 hours need to be completed live streamed and homework needs to be handed in.
The recording of each immersion will be available until 1 month after the end of the training.
Prerequisite for the training: you have taken or are currently enrolled in a 200 hour yoga teacher training (any style) and have a sincere interest in Ayurveda.
-
Why are you here and why are you in this body?
In this immersion, we’ll explore the basics of Ayurveda that form the foundation for everything else we’ll learn: gunas (or 10 opposing pairs), elements, doshas & dharma. In essence this is the exploration of why we are and why we are in this specific expression of the 5 elements. This immersion is both deep and practical and will give you tools to immediately apply in your teaching and practice of yoga! -
How to come back home yourself & help your students do the same. We all flow in & out of balance each day, that’s normal. It’ll only become an issue if we don't take time to come back to our natural state each day. In this class, you’ll learn how to adjust your practice for your unique constitution and current imbalances and to sequence for the constitution of your students.
You’ll walk away from this immersion with a clear plan on how to practice for your body type / your students and how to heal any imbalances with yoga practices.
-
Align with the rhythms of nature & create sequences to help keep your students healthy throughout the year.
We wouldn’t eat watermelon in the middle of winter, or a hearty stew in mid summer. So why don’t we adjust our yoga practice for the seasons?
In this class, you’ll learn what each season is asking of us and how, when we align ourselves with nature, we can prevent seasonal allergies, digestive issues and sleep issues.
You’ll walk away from this immersion with a clear practice plan for each season.

Words are spells! How your cues can create balance (or not!)
Did you know that the words you use can help create balance in your students’ bodies and minds?
Discover the magic of Ayurvedic Cueing and transform your classes in truly healing experiences.
We’ll review basic direct action cueing and add another layer with Ayurvedic cueing.
‘A wonderful immersion into practical applications of Ayurveda for yoga teachers. Eliza is such a skilled teacher. She held the space for us masterfully and shared core principles of this thousands-years-old science in an accessible way. The training has enriched my self-practice and I feel motivated to lead a more Ayurveda-inspired life off the mat. It added an extra dimention to the way I create and guide yoga classes and I'm very excited to share the learnings with my students.’

Eliza is a Vinyasa Yoga teacher, Restorative Yoga teacher & Ayurvedic Health Counselor. She has been teaching yoga classes since 2009 when she was living in her home country The Netherlands.
When she moved to Madrid 13 years ago, she founded The Natural Yogi, Madrid’s English spoken yoga studio.
She has led 5 Vinyasa Yoga Teacher Trainings, a Restorative Yoga Training and this is the 4th time she offers Ayurveda for Yoga Teachers.
Her Vinyasa Yoga and Restorative Yoga classes are based on the ancient wisdom of Ayurveda and create deep inner balance. She now lives in Genova, Italy with her husband and 3 kids.

‘Eliza's Ayurveda training is wonderful in every aspect. Not only did I deepen my knowledge of Ayurveda, but I also learned so many new things for my yoga classes. Eliza teaches in a very sensitive and holistic way. At the end of the course, it felt to me as if all the puzzle pieces of my own yoga knowledge were coming together and becoming a whole. I recommend this course to any yoga teacher who wants to bring more profundity into their classes.’
